Generations Event Centre in Nipawin, Saskatchewan hosts an array of business and community events, and gatherings for special occasions of all kinds. Brenden asked me to photograph their Fall Breakfast, celebrating one year in business.
Pat Branscombe and her son, Brenden, are taking the Nipawin catering market by storm!
It’s interesting how this business came about. I had been a caterer for several years and needed a larger kitchen. One day, while working at Pineland Co-Op, I noticed an elderly man drinking coffee alone, so I joined him. We visited that day and several more after that. He was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church, and expressed his sadness to me about declining membership, and their struggled to keep up the facility. They had a hall with a fantastic kitchen and we arranged a deal for me to rent it. Eventually, I bought it, and here we are! – Pat
Their hearty menu fills your belly to maximum, and makes you feel warm inside, as if grandma made a special Sunday brunch just for you.
We love the catering aspect of the business. We are excited when we can accommodate special requests. We like to be flexible, and we love a challenge! One day my friend and most awesome sidekick, Gay, and I were at Tim Horton’s having coffee, and a lady called to see if we could have supper ready in half hour! We said “sure, no worries” and flew to the hall to whip up supper. – Pat
Not only does Generations cater events, they also sell take-home meals. Visit their Facebook page for a taste of what they’re whipping up this week.
We are so incredibly thankful to the community for their support. Everyone has been so kind to us!
