Katelyn and Danielle are two cutie little peanuts who are best friends, living in Saskatoon.
Danielle is passionate about photography and animals. If she weren’t studying to be a Pharmacy Tech, she’d have been a veterinarian. Above all else, she values honesty and friendship. Katelyn is the type to always lend a helping hand. She puts her friends first, knowing that they’d do the same for her. She and Danielle both have big hearts, which is probably what made them click so easily. They both want what’s best for others, and like to make loved ones happy.
They booked a Mini Session that I advertised for the Saskatoon area. We met at Homestead Ice Cream on a humid night in July. We waited in line behind 15 other patrons, patiently waiting for the insanely delicious (and crazy!) flavours that only Homestead offers. (Did you know they have a DILL PICKLE ice cream!?)
By the time we all had ice cream in hand, down came the rain. It started out gently enough, and we weren’t concerned about a few drops here and there. The trouble is – or rather, the beauty is – that it only strengthened.
CRASH! Thunder and lightning overhead. More rain.
The girls were good sports, and let me put them right out into the thick of it, giggling all the while. It eventually got so strong that we sought shelter under the huge trees along the boulevard of Victoria Avenue and Main Street. I was worried about their hairstyles, but the girls just said “It’s ok! We already worked today! We can play in the rain!”
Play we did! After only minutes of downpour, the street was already filling up with puddles. All the better for jumping in! By the end of the session, we were three drowned rats, soaking from head to toe. My poor camera needed an overnight dry-out to get back to normal function. (PS: If you think you recognize Katelyn, it’s probably because she modelled for me last October)
